The Fragile Feast: Routes to Ferran Adrià

In creative collaboration with the Catalan chef Ferran Adrià, Hannah Collins has designed a photographic tableau which presents the finest dishes from different cultures and their origins pursues. The artist embarks on a search for clues to the places of origin of approximately 30 foods and ingredients that Ferran Adria has used in his famous el Bulli kitchen and put together for the joint project in an exclusive choice. The pictures show the landscapes of cultivation and the physical qualities of each food and accompany them during the transformation of the product and on their travels through further processing and regional cooking. From edible Rosenblatt to the delicate sea anemone the publication provides in sensuous images and narrative texts based vivid an impression of what is presently considered to be nutritious and healthy.
